News Flash!
Good Evening –
We are limping back to full steam. We had six kids out again today with the majority still recovering from the flu. So far, we did not have any new cases today. I am hopeful that we will be back to full attendance by Friday! Mrs Staggs and I think that if we make it through this unscathed, we will officially have super-powered immune systems!!
Thanks to everyone who braved the yucky weather yesterday to join us for the Wood Acres Open House. We were thrilled with the turnout and are always happy to talk about the preschool program that we love.
After finishing up Monday Journals today, we will complete the week focusing on the letter K, finishing up our second Math unit, enjoying two Mystery Readers, hoping to fit in a Book Buddy visit, and making progress on our Nightingale Happily Ever After unit! Whew, we have a lot to keep us busy!!
Our team met last week and worked to adjust our planning due to the most recent snow/ice days. Because of this we had to move our Country Day and City Day events. If you signed up to help with these, please keep an eye out from the room moms about the new dates. We may need a few other volunteers to step up if these changes cause some to have to step out.
Thanks for all of your kind words for my mother and support of me. She is improving. She is eating well, and stayed downstairs for most of the day today. She is frustrated at how weak she is, but I’m trying to convince her that it to be expected.
Please take some time to wash your childs school bag, lunchbox, as well as blankets and stuffies. We are working hard in the classroom cleaning and wiping everything we can. With everyone’s efforts, we will knockout these flu germs!! Thanks in advance!
