Parent Update

I hope you and your families are enjoying this weekend! Hopefully, between the sunshine and rain, you have gotten outdoors! Thank you to all who joined me for Parent-Teacher Conferences, and I look forward to catching up with others in the weeks ahead.

We enjoyed welcoming back the children fro Thursday and Friday fun! They were all refreshed and eager to see friends! Ms. Phillips and I received huge hugs and many stories of their adventures while away for a few days! We filled Thursday and Friday with many hands on (messy?) activities. We hope your child arrived home and shared the days experiences! Brush painting, play-dough, sandbox, finger painting, and shaving cream play were among the top of the list!

Upcoming:
Letters “Ii” and “Jj”…think homemade Ice-cream AND jam! It will be a tasty week of learning at Wood Acres!
Healthy Habits Unit: this will encompass the benefits of healthy eating, physical activity, dental health, and keeping those yucky germs at bay!
We will welcome Miss Judy, a local dental hygienist, who will do a child friendly presentation on the importance of dental health.
Friday we will celebrate Dr. Seuss with a rendition of “green eggs and ham” for snack.
Please have your child bring in one Dr. Seuss book from your home collection any day this upcoming week. Each child can share his/her favorite book with the class, I will take time to read each in circle time. Please label book with name so it will be returned accordingly by weeks end.

Thank you all for your support!

Sincerely,

Liesel West
