Ms. Porto’s 4’s newsletter

Hello all!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! This week we worked on forming numbers correctly!

Monday we worked on the number 2! Everyone did a wonderful job! Then we went to Spanish where we worked on farm animals! When we returned from Spanish, we made our own book of rhymes! This was a hard task but we did it!

Tuesday we worked on the number 3! Everyone did amazing on this too! Then we went to P.E. where did relay races. Boy we sure are getting good at relay races! When we returned from P.E. we worked on recognizing, tracing, and writing the color word black! Since it was such a beautiful day, we decided to end our day in the sandbox!

Wednesday we worked on the number 4! Everyone did a wonderful job! Since the kindergartner’s were having their field day, we decided to go and cheer them on! Boy was that fun, they were amazing! Then we went to our Art special where we continued to work on zig-zag lines and talked about primary colors. When we returned from Art, we worked on recognizing, tracing, and writing the color word brown. Then we had a special surprise, we had a Mystery Reader come into read to us! Thank you so much to Johan’s mom for coming into read to us. We sure do love our Mystery Readers!

We started off our day on Thursday with a special concert out on the campus quad! The children were able to see our Chrome and Band programs perform for us! Boy was this a special treat! Then we worked on making our self portraits. You should see how far we have come since August! We can’t wait to show you!

We ended our week on Friday working on writing the number five correctly. Everyone did a wonderful job on this! Then we had recess! When we returned from recess, we worked on recognizing, tracing, and writing the color word blue! Then it was time for our Mystery Reader to come! Thank you so much Connor’s mom for coming into read to us! We love having visitors! We ended our day in the sandbox since it was such a beautiful day!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and a fantastic Mother’s Day!

Thank you,
Ms. Porto
