Woo Whoo! Back to School We Go!
What a wonderful first week at school! Ms. Wright and I are enjoying working with your amazing children. It is a wonder that we have only completed the first week as we are in such a groove! This week, we worked on classroom rules, and explored our creative learning centers. We also worked on how to organize our classroom. We found out that everything has a place and it stays in the same place all year, so that the children can find things and put them away more easily. We read “Amazing Me” and “Llama Llama Misses Momma”. We worked on our fine motor skills by dot painting the letters in our name and exploring with play dough. We utilized our gross motor skills during playground time and PE. Art, Spanish, Computer and Music class were fantastic as well.
We are in for a rich year if learning at the Woods! Ms.Weight and I are very excited to be on this adventure with your precious little ones.
Next week, our theme is “Friends and Family”. We will share our family photos with the class. If you have not brought one in please do so. We will be graphing our similarities and differences, and making an edible friendship salad with fruit.

Parent Orientation is this Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30. Please mark your calendars. It is a night where we will review our curriculum and goals for making this a wonder year of learning in the 3s.
