Constitution Day Rescheduled
Due to potential rain on Monday, Constitution Day will be postponed until Friday, September 21st at 9:30. We would love to see you there for the celebration. Last week in history the students learned about The Constitution and the Preamble. The students made American Flags and had to put the Preamble in order on the flag. They will be on display this Friday. We will also get to enjoy some time with our book buddies and we will be making “Patriotic” fruit kabobs.
This week we will start a new unit with SuperKids. This week we will be focusing on words that end in “le” and “ng.” We will be reading stories and poems and also writing words with these endings. We will also focus on short vowel sounds and will review the vowels throughout the week. This review will help the students with their vowel assessment on Thursday.
In math we will continue to learn different strategies for addition using manipulatives like unifix cubes, dice, and ten frames.
If you have not done so, please visit our class Shutterfly page. Here you can sign up for Parent/Teacher Conferences. If you are unavailable on Sept. 24th or 25th please notify me and I am happy to schedule a different date with you!
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
