Happy Fall Ya’ll
Dear Wood Acres families,
Apples, pumpkins and pie, OH MY! Fall has arrived! Well, at least in theory. While the temperature outside isn’t indicative of the cooler weather we are all yearning for, our classroom is already beginning to look like fall.
This week, our theme is farm animals. The children will be focusing on identifying farm animals that live on a farm through songs, books, interactive games, and activities. The children are going to have a grand ol’ time down on the farm!
Investigators Club: Meet JT gator
Oral Language: “The farm” flash cards
Objective is to identify various farm animals and to understand that some animals live on a farm.
Phonology Awareness: Environmental sounds
Objective is to identify what animal makes that sound.

Objective is to use new vocabulary and grammar in speech
We would like to thank James’s father Mr. Fudgey, who was our Mystery Reader last week. What a treat it was to have him a part of our fun Fridays. The children enjoyed listening to some of James favorite books. This week, we would like to welcome with open arms Mr. Lindenberg as part of our fun Friday. We are looking forward to hearing some of Andres’s favorite story books.
Speaking about books, the children are learning how to care for our classroom library.During this process some of our book have been damaged due to learning how to care for them. Ms. Wright and I are asking if you like to donate any use books you may have, we would be more then happy to except your donation. Thank you for any donations.
Your children seem to enjoy being the snack helper and has a big responsibility to help direct the class to specials, as well as helping the teacher throughout the day. Ms. Wright and I have noticed that the snack provided for the children contains a lot of cheese. Please keep in mind that to much cheese could not to good for your child. Please be creative when supplying snack for the students. Thank you for understanding. We only want the best nutrition for your child.
Reminders:
– Monday is farmer day at school. Dress like a farmer.
– October 4th is picture day
– Fun Friday is Disney day. Wear your clothes to Disney costume to school
