Canada Project: Due on Oct. 26th.

Halloween: Official 3rd grade pajama and movie day! Join us at 2:00 for trash patrol on the Wood Acres campus.

What’s Going on in our Classroom:
Reading: We continue reading Mr. Popper’s Penguins, and summarizing each and every chapter. Please stop by and take a look at our summaries at the back of our classroom.

Spelling: Words are: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and calendar. Homework due Friday.Test on Friday.

Vocabulary: We are taking a break from vocabulary this week.

Math: We are starting multiplications! Please work on math facts each night with you child!

Grammar: We are finishing up nouns. Last week we had fun writing Halloween inspired possessive nouns and illustrating them. These will be on display!

Writing: We have been writing in paragraphs in our writing journals. We are finishing up our guidebook in the computer lab.

History: We will begin our unit on the Vikings!

Science: Next week we will be in the lab working on Investigation #4, exploring the concept of weight. Then we will finish up studying properties of matter with Investigation #5 and taking a look at buoyancy.
