123’s Are A Part Of Me!
Dear Wood Acres families,
Wow! We can hardly believe the second week of October has already come and gone. Last week, the children had a lot of fun learning about the number one and two through projects, games, and more.
One was fun, two was neat… Next, is three, what a treat! Then, comes more. It’s the number four!
This week, as we continue to work on the number unit, we will be focusing on three and four. The children will practice number recognition during their morning work and circle time. A few highlights of the week will be listening to the stories of the “The Three Little Pigs” and “The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything “. The children will construct a large project in class of the “Three Little Pigs” and work on a sequence to the story “Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything.” These projects will be sent home with the goal in mind of being able to recite the stories back to you!
Our theme for this week is Fall. We will explore our wonderful campus by taking a nature walk and collecting nature things around us. For creativity, we will create a fall wreath. We will also use our fine motor skills by rubbing crayons over leaves to create a leaf print. Leaves here, leaves there, leaves are starting to fall everywhere!
