Halloween Party

Hi Families,
We had a great time at our Halloween party last Wednesday. Thank you to all who helped make it happen!
Your child can still bring in their left over Halloween candy this week to be donated. Thank you to those who already have.

These next two weeks are going to be busy! We have a lot of fun Thanksgiving projects that we will be working on, along with our normal schedule. This week we will be wrapping up units 7 and 8 of Superkids and we will have our unit test at the end of the week. Please continue practicing the word list with your child.

Last week we started our quarter 2 footprints. As you can see the books are longer and have more content. Have your child focus on 3 pages at a time. First (pages 1-3), Next( 3-6), Then(6-9), Last (9-12). Have them pick one important detail from those pages. Please do not stress over this. I am mainly looking to see if their handwriting is neat and if they are using correct punctuation and capital letters at the beginning of a sentence, etc.

We just finished our chapter with subtracting. Please continue practicing flash cards at home. The students will now move onto reading graphs, charts, and diagrams. They will be using both addition and subtraction with all of these.

A formal invitation will be coming home this week with your child for the Thanksgiving Luncheon on Nov. 6th from 11-12. All are welcome to join in this fun celebration. There is a sign-up form on Shutterfly if you would like to bring a food item to the luncheon.

Thanks again for all that you do!
Mrs. Lindsey
