There’s no where else we would like to be but here at the Woods with your precious 3’s

Dear Wood Acres families,

The hustle and bustle of the holiday season if finally upon us! We CANNOT believe that the first half of our year with your precious children has almost drawn to a close. There has been so much growth which has occurred, and we couldn’t be more proud of each and every one of them!

This week our unit of study is number nine and our theme for this week is “Gingerbread Man”. For the number 9 we will do the number hunt, create groups of nine by using counting bears, bean bag toss game and number bingo. These are just some of the games your little ones like to play. For our theme of the week the children will be working on sequencing by size and reading of “The Gingerbread Man” and using the felt board to help tell the story. For creativity we will be creating a Gingerbread Man out of paper towels rolls and construction paper and decorating an editable cookie cut out as a Gingerbread Man. What a tasty week it’s going to be! Last but not least, the children will be working on two songs to sing for you during our holiday party.

This week in Investigator Club we will be focusing on the following:

Oral Language: Jump and Jiggle
Objective: To listen on the following purpose.

Physical Awareness: Match Sounds
Objective: To listen to and identify different alliterations.

Literally: Dilly & Manny Salamander
