Happy December Wood Acres Families!
The theme for this month is CELEBRATIONS! Week kicked off our week learning about all of the different celebrations celebrated around the world. We started our week learning about Hanukkah. A special thank you to Inga Raz (Gal’s Mom) for dropping in and teaching us about the traditional rituals of Hanukkah! We continued our week talking about Christmas and Kwanzaa. We have been learning about these cultural celebrations through music, stories, fingerplays and of course ART! We also talked about celebrating ourselves- with all of the birthdays this month! Our Wood Acres class is also beginning to notice the transition of seasons. Now that most of the leaves are on the ground…we cannot help but to jump in them! *reminder* Please be sure that your child’s spare change of clothes are appropriate to keep them warm as the temperature is continues to drop. We want to ensure everyone is warm. As always a round of applause to each of you for all that you do!

Happy Thursday!
Ms. Nixon & Mrs. Biter
