Week of January 7th

What a great back to school we have had. We jumped right back in with both feet and are running away with learning! Hope everyone has seen all the work coming home and following along with what we are doing in class. This week our letter was N. We learned lots of new words beginning with the N sound. We discussed how knight and night sound the same but begin differently. We also started working on perfecting our names, using proper uppercase and lowercase letters and forming them the correct way. We will continue to work on this for the remainder of the year.
Our Happily Ever After unit is almost complete. We are finishing up Jingles, Poems and Rhymes and will be our next unit, The Nightingale, next week.

In Math we have been working on more and less, before, middle and after in conjunction with our Happily Ever After unit.

Next week our letter will be J. We will be doing lots of fun activities and experiments with the letter!!

Be on the lookout for an invitation to our Mad About Mittens Event. This is an event you won’t want to miss. It will be held in our classroom on Thursday, January 31st from 9:30-10:30. Stations and activities will be set up for you and your child to learn and have some fun together. It gives you a sneak peek into some of the fun ways we learn here at Wood Acres!

As always. please reach out to me with any questions, comments, concerns or compliments!!! I am here for you!
