Why Fit in When you were Born to Stand Out! Dr. Seuss….
Thank you to those who had meet with me last week for Parent/Teacher conferences. It was a pleasure to see you again. I am sorry for those who missed their time but I look forward to catching up with you this week.
As we come to an end of February and we march right into March with so much to do, the children are excited to learn about Thing 1 and Thing 2. Dr. Seuss’s birthday is March 2nd and in honor of Dr. Seuss, we will read “Green Eggs and Ham” and create our version of green eggs and ham by using vanilla pudding, green food coloring and vanilla wafers. “I don’t like green eggs and ham, I don’t like them Sam I am” Dr. Seuss…… We will read “One Fist, Two Fish”. For creative movement, we will utilizing our hand and eye coronation as we throw sweetest fish into a fish bowl. We will read “The Cat in the Hat” and continue to work on our hand and I coronation as we throw water balloons into the Cat in the Hat hat. We will read “Wacky Wednesday” and “Hop on Pop”.
As we breeze right through the alphabet, this week we will focus on the letter I and J. We will take a nature walk around our beautiful campus to observe insects and we will make delicious ice cream from scratch on Friday. For the J, we will make jam on Thursday and utilize our mobility to do jumping jacks. How any can YOU do?.
