Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!
Rainbows and Leprechauns took center stage in our classroom this week.
We made a rainbow with a prism and sunlight. The children were fascinated to see each color on the ground. We also made rainbow kites that we flew outside on that beautiful day as you can see from the photos. Nicole Hankamer also posted some photos on the school’s FB page of our class. Don’t forget to look at those pics too. Also in the photos below is a picture of our cute Leprechauns with hats and beards! I caught sight of a leprechaun outside (wink, wink) our room, but couldn’t catch him. He did leave rainbow treats for the children, which they quickly devoured. Everyone became Irish for the day………I gave each child an Irish last name by adding a “Mc” or an “O” to it for fun!

We learned two more letters……M & N and next week we focus on O & P. Next Friday, keep your fingers crossed for a nice, sunny day because we’ll have a pizza picnic!

Beside the two letters, we will have so much fun with “The Five Senses.” This is one of my favorite concepts to teach!

Our Spring Party is coming up on Thursday, March 28! On that day, the children will take part in our traditional egg hunt. We will need each child to bring in a dozen plastic candy -filled eggs for the hunt. More info. will be sent home soon. The class will love it!!

Have a fantastic week ahead—-Spring (my favorite) begins Wednesday!
