We can hardly believe we are at the final few weeks of school. Your little ones have grown so much this year and it’s been such a pleasure getting to know each and every one of your children. We wiped away many tears, fixed plenty of boo boos, sow lots of smiles and heard many laughs throughout this year. As we close out one of the last few weeks of school, we will be working on the letters w and x. Our theme of the week is Mother’s Day! We will be making our special moms a gift of love and durning group discussions, we will talk about what makes our mom special. For creativity art, we will make a weather chart and discuss the different types of weather. We will also make an edible dirt worm snack out of chocolate pudding, oreos and gummy worms. Yum Yum! For the letter x, we will make an
x-ray by painting our hands. During group discussion, we will talk about what an x-ray is and how it is a special camera that takes a picture of our bones.

Oral Language: “The Wind”
Objective is to understand complex and varied vocabulary.
Literacy: Dilly’s Alphabet Cards
Objective is to identify letters in the alphabet
Music/Movement: Dance Fever
Objective is to express ourselves through movement.
Friendly reminders:
May 1st is our Bike-a-Thon. Please bring in a bike or a scooter, along with a helmet, elbow and knee pads for your child’s protection. Also don’t forget to label your child’s belongings and your donation if you have not done so.
May 9th is the Band and Chrome concert at 10:00 for students and 6:30 for family and friends. Please provide a water bottle and a hat for your child morning of. Do t forget to label your child’s belongings.
Please provide summer wear clothing and sunblock for us to apply to your child in the afternoon. Don’t forget to apply it every morning before coming to school.
End of the year party will be held on May 22nd at 10:30. Room moms and helpers please be to the school at 10:00 for set up. We are still excepting donations. If you would like to donate for our party please do so no later then Friday. We will be placing out order this weekend. The children are working hard and excited to preform for you a few songs they are learning. Invitations will be going out this week. Please RSVP no later then May 20th. We looking forward to ending a spectacular year with you all.

Last day of school May 24th. Early dismissal is at 12:45 for all. Also if your child is coming in the morning of, please provide a hat and a water bottle with your child’s name on it. We will be celebrating the end of the year on the quad and it’s gets hot out there.
