7th Grade Math – Unit 1 Algebra Basics

We begin the year with the first unit of Algebra 1. In this Unit we will cover:
The Real Number System
Properties
Order of Operations & Absolute Value
Evaluating Expressions
Matrices
Combining Like Terms
Simplifying Expressions
Translating Expressions/Equations/Inequalities
Solving Two-Step Equations
Solving & Graphing Two-Step Inequalities
This is a meaty Unit but we will have some fun with a “Sell that Property” project.
