Hello All!
Happy First Day of Fall!
Last week, we learned about the letter B. The kids had such a great time coming up with words to put on our board. We even got to 53 words! We did lots of crafts and games that went along with B, including making bats, a bunny made out of cotton balls, blue and brown pattern bugs and a butterfly!
We also did a fun science experiment in the Beaker Jr. called “Blue Baggie Burst”. We sent home an information sheet on it Friday explaining how you can do it at home. You only need a few ingredients, water, vinegar and baking soda!
We met with our book buddies this week and did a fun activity with Q-Tips and painting an apple. The kids always love seeing their book buddies. After the painting, the second grader took their book buddie to their quiet spot to read a story to them. It was so much fun!
As a reminder, there is no school today, Monday, September 23 or Tuesday, September 24th has parent teacher conferences are happening. This includes no tree house. We will resume classes on Wednesday, September 25th. We will use this upcoming week as another review week, focusing on the skills we have learned thus far. When we come back on September 30th, we will start a new story and a new letter.
I look forwarding to seeing many of you today and tomorrow! I will see everyone else next Monday!
