Here a moo there a moo everywhere a moo moo!
Wood Acres parents,
It was so nice to catch up with you last week durning parent teacher conferences. We are so excited to be a part of your child’s Early Childhood education years and teaching them the mild stones they need to know in order to be successful this year.
What fun we had within the last two weeks as we covered shapes. Your children are right on point with identifying basic shapes. Way to go! Thank you for helping them along the way. We make a great team!
This week, our theme is farm animals. The children will be focusing on identifying farm animals that live on a farm through songs, books, interactive games, and activities. For fine motor skills, we will milk a cow and work on our cutting skills by cutting out farm animals. For creativity, we will create little pigs by using paper plates and paint. We will also work on sequence by gluing farm animals from smallest to largest. For gross motor skills, we will be making butter from scratch by shaking heavy cream in a jar and playing duck duck goose during our outside play. For story time, we will read some of our best farm books “Down on the Farm”, “This Little Piggy” and “The Little Red Hen”.
The children are going to have a grand ol’ time down on the farm!
