Parent Update

I hope everyone has enjoyed a lovely weekend, including the rainy Sunday. I always find those are good days to embrace a relaxing time with family. We enjoyed today at The Woods, as we felt the Fall weather is finally upon us!! Thank you all for sending your children in light jackets/sweaters. We continue to get outdoors and enjoy our campus daily!

This week we are introducing numbers 3 and 4. Through books, games, and Investigator Club the children are exposed to counting and identifying each number. Conversation starters…Goldilocks and The Three Bears, The Big Bad Wolf and the Three Little Pigs, The Four Seasons. As we are embarking on the Fall season, we will take a Nature Walk about the campus to investigate all the changes!!

Next week we will introduce number 5. We will do a “Seed to Pumpkin” Unit as well. Each year we ask that parents supply a small “pie pumpkin” sized pumpkin for our annual Pumpkin Patch. This will take place on the day of our Fall/Halloween Party. This party is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30th ( more info to follow regarding costumes for the day). Please send in a pumpkin by the 29th. Thank you all for your continued support.

We enjoy your children, as they arrive happy and eager to learn each day! Have a good Monday evening. As always, please reach out to me at anytime with questions or comments!

Sincerely,
Liesel West and Marian Phillips
