Nocturnal Animals has to be one of my favorite themes to teach young children. Quiz your child to see if they can name some animals that roam at night looking for food. I loved the art project of the spooky eyes peering out from the tree. They heard the books, “Little Owl’s Night”, ”Owl Babies” and “Quiet Night” The children loved making the animal sounds you can hear at night.

We focused on Number 6 by counting, matching, coloring, tracing and stamping. We also learned the names of insects because insects have 6 legs. Next week, Number 7 takes center stage. The class will sing and dance to the “Weekly Rap,” about the 7 days of the week.

Also, turkeys and being thankful will be on tap for next week.

Have a good week and stay warm.
