That’s a wrap for 2019 in Kindergarten!

Dear Parents!
We made it to winter break! Everyone deserves a clap for that!
We finished up with our friend Ettabetta! I am happy to report that everyone in our class got a 100 on their word list test! Keep up the hard work and make sure you are practicing your words and reading every night even over the holidays 😉
Math this week had us learning how to make tally marks. Once we mastered that, we moved on to putting our recorded data into different charts and graphs. So far we have learned picture graphs, which are graphs made out of pictures, Pictographs, graphs that use only one picture, and last but certainly not least, bar graphs! These graphs will not trick us!
We have completed our holidays around the world! Please come in and check out our beautiful bulletin board. It is filled with poinsettias for Christmas, dreidels for Hanukkah, and diyas for Diwali! We love celebrating all of the different holidays in this class!
We headed back to the lab for our continued science lesson! This time we used all of our five senses to record data. We tasted, smelled, listened, watched and touched different solids and liquids and decided whether or not we liked it! How fun! I can’t wait to get to our next lesson in the new year!
We closed out the year with an amazing holiday party on fabulous fun Friday! After eating a delicious breakfast of pancakes, bacon, fruit, and of course hot cocoa, we played fun games! Did I mention there was a photo booth?! We are so lucky to have parents who know how to party! Thank you so much to all of the parents who helped contribute to this wonderful day!
We sure can’t wait to put up our new ornaments on our trees this year! Thank you again for the lovely present. We will treasure them forever ❤️
Have a wonderful winter break! Can’t wait to see you all in 2020!
With love,
Ms. Porto & Ms. Kathie
