Since we couldn’t go to Mardi Gras, Mardi Gras came to us! We had fun parading through the Early School classrooms wearing our jester hats (j is for jester) and beads. Catch us on Wood Acres Facebook to see a cute photo of us!

Tuesday was also the day we watched the Puppet Guy and his puppets with the “Traveling Tales”. He had different puppets this time made of unusual materials. There were puppets made of baskets and baseball caps and shadow puppets. What an entertaining show!!

On Wednesday, our visitor, Ms. Judy Cone, a dental hygienist from Dr. John Taylor’s office, taught the class how to care for their “pearly whites.” She has been visiting children at W A for at least 28 years and demonstrating how to correctly brush your teeth and discussing good and bad foods to eat. She left each child with a coloring book and a toothbrush. She is a very devoted lady of pediatric dentistry! See the photos below.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!

What a fun week we will have exploring books from this well-loved author (happens to be my favorite) of children’s literature. Theodore Seuss Geisel wrote stories that not only used lots of rhyming words, but his stories often contained a lesson to learn. Search your bookcase for any Dr. Seuss’ books for us to borrow this week, write your child’s name in it and it will be returned on Friday. Thank you.
