Why Fit in When You are Born to Stand Out!
As we come to an end of February and we march right into March with so much to do, the children are excited to learn about Thing 1 and Thing 2. Dr. Seuss’s birthday is March 2nd and in honor of Dr. Seuss, we will read “Green Eggs and Ham” and create our version of green eggs and ham by using vanilla pudding, green food coloring and vanilla wafers. “I don’t like green eggs and ham, I don’t like them Sam I am” Dr. Seuss…… We will read “One Fist, Two Fish”. For creative movement, we will utilizing our hand and eye coronation as we throw sweetest fish into a fish bowl. We will read “The Cat in the Hat” and continue to work on our hand and I coronation as we throw water balloons into the Cat in the Hat hat. We will read “Wacky Wednesday” and “Hop on Pop”.
As we breeze right through the alphabet, this week we will focus on the letter H. For creativity art, we will make Kong’s out of the letter k and continue to work on our handwriting by tracing the letter k for our alphabet book.
Investigator Club;
Phonology Awareness: “Listen to Syllables”
Objective is to hear discrimination separate syllables in words.
Oral Language: “Dilly and The Investigator Club”
Objective to listen and understand conversations.
Alphabet knowledge: “Letter Game”
Objective is to know that the letters of the alphabet are a special category of visual graphics.
Social and Emotional: “I Can Think for Myself”
Objective is to problem solve through communication.

We would like to welcome Mrs. Greene (Bailey’s mother) as our reader this week. We are looking forward to listening to some of Bailey’s favorite books and having Mrs. Greene as part of our fun Friday.
