Updates

Just a quick update of some upcoming events…

Our 100th day of school is next week. We have a project we would like to do and are asking if each family can donate one pack/book of stickers…any kind is fine. Thanks in advance!

Next Friday, Feb 1, is Mitten Day. We are hoping each child can have one adult to join them at school to do some activities in our room…just some counting, measuring, letter matching etc. We will start at 11:00 and will go no longer than an hour. We are also collecting mittens for families in need, so if you are able, please consider donating a pair/pairs of mittens for either a child or adult.

Open House is this Sunday, January 27, 2:00-4:00 It is a great opportunity to look at the different programs and meet the teachers as we look to next year.

Have a great rest of your week!!!

Happy Friday

Happy Friday Everyone!!

Please be sure and check your folders this weekend for a couple of important flyers.

We will be having “Mitten Day” on Friday February 1, at 11:00. This is just about an hour long(at the most) and we just would love each child to have one adult if at all possible. We will be doing some activities with counting, patterning, measuring etc. We are also collecting donations of mittens for adults and/or children to donate to families in need.

Just as a reminder, Monday January 21, school will be closed for MLK Day.

Have a great weekend!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to Everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and your new year is getting off to a great start. We are getting back into the swing of things and moving right along. Our letter this week is N and next week will be J. We are going to be working on writing first names with proper letter formation, counting, number recognition and of course we will keep working on letter sounds and recognition.

Have a great week!!

A Late Thank you!

Good afternoon!

I just wanted to post a quick and very late thank you to everyone for making our Thanksgiving feast such a fun day.
The kids had such a great time with everyone there. While we very much appreciate all your food donations, we were mostly thankful that you took the time to come and join us.

Hard to believe that the holidays are upon us! Happy Hanukkah to this who are celebrating this week.

We have finished our unit, The Elves and the Shoemaker and are starting on our new one, Jingles, Poems and Rhymes. The letter this week is P and next week will be O.

Have a great rest of your week!!

Happy Friday

Happy Friday afternoon everyone!!

Just a quick note…we have finished our City Mouse Country Mouse unit and are moving on to our last Happily Ever unit which is ABC Book. We will be doing the letter X next week and that will mean we have covered the entire alphabet. The kids are really doing great with their letter and sound recognition! We will use the last few weeks to review, do some sight words and work on some simple reading words…can’t even believe we are down to the last four weeks of school!!

Have a great weekend and enjoy some sunny and dry weekend weather for a change!

Thanks for all you do,
Robin S.
