Welcome to The Wood Acres School!
Wood Acres is a private, independent school located in Marietta, Georgia founded in 1969. In the summer of 1969, Neil Armstrong walked on the moon and Wood Acres opened its doors to welcome it’s first preschool class.
Fifty years later, Wood Acres is still strong and vibrant, educating decades of children from two years old through eighth grade. How we have grown! Legacy families at Wood Acres are now returning families and also parents of prospective students that attended here as well.
Fifty years of continuous service to our school community exemplifies success at maintaining rich traditions and yet constantly growing, improving, and enhancing student learning with changing times. At Wood Acres, we present opportunities for students to be leaders and peer mentors. It is essential in our changing world that students are challenged and empowered to work, learn, and grow together.
